This online learning program is recommended for owners, senior leaders, middle managers and supervisors who have the authority and ability to direct workplaces and how employees complete work tasks.
This course is designed to provide the learner with an understanding of:
- Recent changes to the Criminal Code of Canada with the addition of Section 217.1. These changes enable the courts to bring charges against organizations & individuals who are negligent in providing a healthy and safe workplace and their negligence resulted in bodily harm or death.
- The Canada Labour Code – Part 2 Occupational Health & Safety with an emphasis on the “legal duties” of employers.
- The legal defense of “Due Diligence” that an employer or individual may use if charged under the Canada Labour Code.
- How to develop, implement and monitor an “Occupational Health & Safety Management System” to the “CSA Z1000 OHSMS Standard”.
- How to develop a “Culture of Safety” within your organization.
- The importance of “Safety Communication”
OHS Leadership Training Complete Series
This course consists of 6 Modules that will require approximately five hours to complete:
- Module 1 – OHS Law – Canadian Criminal & Labour Codes
- Module 2 – OHS Law – Due Diligence
- Module 3 – OHS – It Takes Leadership
- Module 4 – OHS – Management Systems
- Module 5 – Creating a Safety Culture
- Module 6 – Safety Communications
Course Pricing:
- 1-4 participants – $375.00+HST per person
- 5-9 participants – $337.50+HST per person (10% off)
- 10+ participants – $318.75+HST per person (15% off)
A certificate of completion will be issued upon completion of each module.
